The songwriting and producing team of James Hatcher and Andy Clutterbuck met at university and with their emotive take on classic soul and delicate beats, began capturing the hearts of fans ever since. Their name derived by the Japanese concept of “true feelings,” they released their debut EP ‘Warm On A Cold Night’ in September 2014, followed by ‘All In the Value’ in the same year. After starting their own label, Tatemae Recordings in 2015, they released two more EPs: ‘Coastal Love’ & ‘Over Lover’ garnering an impressive online following in the process, and touring Europe whilst also selling out shows in their native UK. ‘Gone Are The Days’ dropped in 2016 before their first full length album ‘Warm On A Cold Night,’ which saw the duo elevated to playing the world’s most renown festivals and venues the world over, and with a blossoming reputation for bringing romance back to the dance floor. Their sophomore LP ‘Love Me / Love Me Not’ was released in August 2018 to both public and critical acclaim.
Influenced by the likes of Al Green and Bill Withers, their warm electronic sound gushes with emotive sweetness, revealing hints of Qunicy Jones’ early work with Michael Jackson by combining soul and synths spread over sensual nocturnal sonics. It is a sound that has become an instant hit in Asia, with multiple sold out shows in the region to date in Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan and the Philippines. Having previously only made a short, promotional visit to Hong Kong to play a couple stripped back, intimate sets, local fans can finally catch the full production show in all its glory, when the duo backed with their full band perform here on the 27th February.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on the 7th December from www.ticketflap.com/honne and we highly recommend acting fast as this show will sell quickly.
